You give a misleading impression of chemistry at King's and our plans for chemical biology. The college's research chemists provide a base in the discipline that will be reinforced by the chemical biologists we are recruiting. The whole point of the college's chemical biology development is to link biomedicine to the physical sciences by creating a cross-disciplinary department, a radical step that will create an environment especially conducive to chemical biology.
