Having friends on both sides of the Israel-Palestine conflict, I abhor the policies of the Sharon government and the actions of suicide bombers.

If there is to be a boycott, be even-handed. Include Zimbabwean scholars, because of Robert Mugabe's unacceptable policies; Chinese, because of the illegal occupation of Tibet; and Palestinian, because some of their leaders condone the slaughter of innocent civilians.
