The student satisfaction survey mean of 3.7/5 does not translate into a mean of 74 per cent, because the lowest mark was not 0, but 1 ("'Sexy' courses trail traditional in student poll", September 9). So the mark is 2.7/4 or 67.5 per cent. Not a first, but still a pass.
