The MChem, MEng, MMath, MPhys and MSci degrees are well-established four-year undergraduate masters degrees. They involve both a broadening and deepening of the three-year BSc curriculum and are valued by employers. They do not merit the sneers of your anonymous correspondent ("Masters do not pass muster", Soapbox, August 20).
