Bristol University has not disaffiliated from the National Union of Students as your editorial states ("Help the union to avoid last orders", March 26).
A majority of the students who took part in a referendum there on March 18 voted to remain a member of the NUS, as has been the case in every single student union in a referendum ballot in the past 30 years.
