More than 200 University and College Union delegates at last Saturday's UCU Left Conference launched a campaign to demand an early delegate-based sector conference to address our leadership's decision to suspend our industrial action prior to the pay ballot, and to discuss what tactics to adopt following the result of the pay ballot.
We believe this will help ensure that future strategic decisions of our union are democratically owned and controlled by its full membership, not made on the fly by what many members perceive to be an unaccountable leadership.
