D. Nicolson asks if he/she is alone in being worried about the impact of the proposed indexation cap on Universities Superannuation Scheme pensions (Letters, 9 June). He/she is not alone, but not enough of us are making our voices heard. After all, the 1970s were a long time ago: we couldn't get inflation of more than 10 per cent again, could we?
