As a research professor I do little teaching. This semester I should mark 11 masters assignments to be submitted on July 7. If I refuse, in line with the strike action, 30 per cent of my pay will be docked, backdated to May 15. Thirty per cent of my gross pay is ?1,400 a month. Thus my assignments are valued at more than ?120 per month each. I must be grossly underpaid for the rest of my work.
