The Institution of Electrical Engineers, on London's Embankment, has housed a useful collection of computer books and journals since 1977 when the British Computer Society library was merged with the IEE library. The IEE/BCS library catalogue is now on the Internet at with the choice of a simple word search form or a field search form for more complex queries. Anyone can search the catalogue; full library services are available to IEE and BCS members.
