The newly established Arts and Humanities Research Board this week announced its first grant winners, with awards totalling Pounds 4.6 million. The board announced more than 300 research awards, including a grant of Pounds 73,150 to researchers at De Montfort University who will transcribe, research and publish all 88 surviving 15th-century manuscripts of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
