A new online-course community hopes to do for adult learning what Amazon.com did for the book-selling business. Hotcourses.com is a free website that covers about 50,000 courses, ranging from MBAs to line dancing. Course providers can put course details on the site for free.
Launched last Thursday, Hotcourses.com was formerly On Course Publications, whose portfolio of guides includes On Course, a London guide to courses, What University?, the official Universities and Colleges Admissions Service guide to higher education, and Career, a graduate job guide. Career is also supported by jobs website givemeajob.co.uk.
