The University of Abertay, Dundee, has appointed a leading European specialist in virtual reality and digital media to direct its unique International Centre for Computer Games and Virtual Entertainment (IC-CAVE).
Peter Astheimer, who will join Abertay at the end of March, is a consultant with responsibility for virtual reality within the corporate research and development and business units of the
Siemens company in Munich.
Abertay set up IC-CAVE to ensure the quality and relevance of its degree programmes. It has visiting fellows from around the world with backgrounds in a variety of multimedia disciplines.
