A five-year programme to devise ways to boost the immune system to fight HIV infection has been backed by a Pounds 1 million grant from the Wellcome Trust.
A team of immunologists led by Rodney Phillips, professor of clinical medicine at Oxford University, in collaboration with Jonathan Weber at St Mary's Hospital, London, will receive the money for a study entitled "Immune control and escape in human immunodeficiency."
