Nicol Stephen, deputy minister for enterprise and lifelong learning, praised Aberdeen College for helping to turn the vision of a learning nation into a reality through a Pounds 3.2 million engineering technology centre. The college has funded the centre itself, through a bank loan and college reserves.
Mr Stephen said the new centre was "the clearest example of the college's pivotal role in enhancing the skills base of northeast Scotland's important engineering and offshore industries."
