University and College Union leaders have condemned plans for a private university in Northern Ireland.
Griffith College Dublin this week unveiled its plans to open a 5,000-student Belfast campus offering private higher education degree courses for fees of about ?3,000 a year.
Renee Prendergast, UCU president at Queen's University Belfast, described the plans as "ill-advised, and not what Northern Ireland needs".
