Anna Fazackerley, science reporter on The Times Higher , has won the New Business News Journalist of the Year award for 2004. The award from the Periodicals Training Council was announced at a ceremony last week.

A panel of judges made up of editors from a range of national publications said: "Anna is a journalist with true raw talent. Her novel way at looking at the world enriches her copy. She is an original writer with an excellent sense of the news."
