A state prosecutor has demanded prison sentences of between two and three-and a-half years for eight university professors on trial for allegedly favouring candidates in competitive exams for teaching posts in university medical schools. The eight sat on examining commissions in 1989 and 1992 and are accused of favouring offspring of some university baroni.
