Warwick University is the biggest winner in the second round of Science and Innovation Awards announced by the Government last week. The university won ?8.8 million of ?.7 million available to help strategically important research areas.
Other winners included: Queen's University, Belfast (?3.2 million); Imperial College London and University College London (?5.6 million); Strathclyde University and King's College London (?4.3 million); Bristol University (?3.5 million); and Cambridge University (?2.3 million).
