Centres must hold 2

Gloom about the Centres of Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETLs) must be seen in light of their contribution to their subject areas.

The Higher Education Funding Council for England's review of the initiative, reported in Times Higher Education, concludes that the results were "mixed". In the performing arts, buildings were built by "winning" institutions, but their contribution to improving subject areas was minute to zero.
