As a non-creationist biologist I hope I am not alone in being disturbed by Lewis Wolpert's suggestion that academics who are creationists in science departments "should be asked to reconsider their position as scientists". Perhaps Wolpert is dreaming of turning the headquarters of the Royal Society into a Stasi-style enterprise, where such dissident scientists can be effectively "processed".
