The Media Center is open from 8:20-3:00 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday and 8:20-2:00 Wednesday. (Closing only for lunch and planning). One of the few schools in the district to offer all-day book checkout for their students, the Media Center provides access to books and resources for staff and students at any time of the day. Students can check out books, use the computers, ask Ms. Harris questions, or attend weekly media classes. Students in grades 2-6 are allowed to checkout two books at a time, while K-1 checks out one book. Kindergarten students do not take home books until January.

Chromebooks, portable technology, support a digital online learning platform for our students. Students at SSE have access to Chromebooks through a Chromebook Lab in addition to access in the Media School as each class participates in online lessons through Google Classroom. Chromebooks provide integration as well as collaboration among teachers and students. Chromebooks provide students access to Apps for education, word, spreadsheets and email. Students work collaboratively on various assignments and provide each other instant feedback.
