(Photograph) - University student Pauline is the tour guide for the department of computing science's honours degree in its "virtual open day'' package, unveiled this week at a conference organised by the Scottish Council for Educational Technology on "Tactics and Trends''.

The multimedia guide, aimed at potential applicants who cannot attend the university's annual open day, includes the nine students on screen explaining what they study, an interactive chat with an admissions adviser, video snippets of lectures, tutorials and labs.
