A new group will examine the feasibility of a post-qualification admissions system. The Universities UK steering group, whose report was delayed by the Tomlinson report into A-level standards last year, has postponed its work indefinitely. The Department for Education and Skills will assemble the new group, which will include representatives from schools, colleges, universities and awarding bodies.
