Chinese universities have been told to tighten degree issuing procedures by the ministries of education and public security in response to the growing use of counterfeit degree certificates to gain employment.
Recently, a small gang was arrested after being caught making false title seals for Beijing University and the State Committee for Self-Learning in Higher Education.
