Researchers at Manchester Metropolitan University and Udine University, Italy, are collaborating on investigating the loss of strength experienced by astronauts in space. Marco Narici of the Institute for Research into Human Movement, said UK researchers could not receive direct grants from the European Space Agency, but they could collaborate on ESA projects such as this one. 'We are particularly interested in the weakening of tendons experienced in space,' Professor Narici said
