Employers have concerns about proposals for the creation of a foundation degree. A survey of Confederation of British Industry members found employers thought there was no obvious gap in the market for foundation degrees and that HE expansion should not focus purely on sub-degree level. But most said they were likely to allow employees to study for the qualification and be assessed in the workplace.
