Glasgow collects ?2m

Glasgow University cleaned up in the latest Arts and Humanities Research Council grants round, securing more than ?2 million of funding. The university, which said it received more AHRC money in this round than any other institution, won funding for four projects: the paradox of medieval Scotland: social relationships and identities before the wars of independence; an ethical and legal critique of alcohol policies in the UK; pantomime in Scotland; and mapping the practice and profession of sculpture in Britain and Ireland 1851-1951.
