Cloning humans for reproductive purposes was rejected this week by a joint report from the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority and the Human Genetics Advisory Committee, but they have left the door open for cloning human material for therapeutic purposes. The two groups presented the results of their public consultation exercise in a report: Cloning Issues in Reproduction, Science and Medicine.
