Labs seek students to test toxic dangers

Students are being used as human guinea pigs to test pesticides. The Medeval laboratory in Manchester's science park pays students Pounds 600 to test the toxicity of pesticides used in pet flea collars. Inveresk Research, near Heriot-Watt University's Edinburgh campus, pays students Pounds 480 to test a pesticide that is not licensed for agricultural use in Britain.
