Laptop plan criticised by NUS
Warwick University's proposal to require students to have laptop computers has been called ¡°top-up fees by the back door¡± by the National Union of Students.
Laptop ownership will become mandatory from 2003 at an estimated cost of ?1,250 each. Subsidies will be available for poorer students.
