So Queen's University and the University of Ulster are in a "race to capitalise on the peace process" (THES, December 1). The question in ten years' time will be what support the Government gave plans to bring higher education within reach of people in disadvantaged areas of the province, and the support to bring economy-enhancing research activities to such areas.
