Experts at University College London are preparing to create tsunamis in a controlled environment in order to study their effects on buildings and coastlines. The team is planning to develop a tsunami generator capable of creating scaled-down versions of the devastating waves. They hope their work could pave the way for the design of structures better able to withstand their impact.
