Ulster University senior lecturer Monica McWilliams, founder of the Women's Coalition, which had a prominent role in the Northern Ireland peace talks, has been appointed professor of women's studies and social policy. Following last week's referendum, Professor McWilliams will stand for election to the Northern Ireland assembly.
