University of Surrey - Real-world impact

A ?10 million programme has been launched by the University of Surrey and the National Physical Laboratory to translate the results of research into real-world impact. The collaboration is supported by ?4 million in funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, with the remaining ?6 million coming from Surrey and industrial partners. The project will focus on three areas of technology: communications and signal processing; next- generation materials and characterisation; and nanotechnology and photonics.
