The second world conference and technology exhibition on biomass for energy, industry and climate protection will be held from 10 to 14 May 2004 in Rome, Italy.

The event will present the latest developments in the field of biomass utilisation, and will act as a forum for an exchange of information among scientists, policy makers and practitioners.

Topics covered at the conference will include:
- Research and development of bio energy conversion technology systems;
- Strategy and policy issues;
- Biomass in the developing world.

There is an open call for papers related to the conference for which abstracts should be submitted before 10 October 2003
