Three medical professors at the University of Milan have been arrested on fraud and corruption charges in connection with consultancy work at an exclusive private teaching hospital, the San Raffaele Scientific Institute. A chemotherapy consultant, a neurology assistant and the owner of a private clinic have also been arrested. Prosecutors say they already have firm documentation attesting to a fraud of E6 million (Pounds 4 million) a year dating back to 1991.
