China's education ministry and Hangzhou provincial government will spend 1.4 billion yuan (Pounds 105 million) on Zhejiang University over three years to give it world-class status. Zhejiang is one of the largest, most comprehensive universities in China. It is a merger of four universities: Zhejiang, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Agricultural and Zhejiang Medical.
