Chaudhary Charan Singh University was originally established in 1965 as Meerut University. It was later renamed in honour of India’s former Prime Minister and activist, Chaudhary Charan Singh.?
The university is spread across a lush 222-acre urban campus in Meerut, a city in the western part of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.?
Academically, the university is divided into eight faculties: agriculture, art, commerce and management, education, engineering and technology, law, pharmacy, and science. Within each faculty are different departments offering a range of both undergraduate and graduate degree programmes.?
The university is home to two institutes: Charak School of Pharmacy and the Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering Technology. The Charak School of Pharmacy is known for innovation in pharmaceutical education, while the Sir Chhotu Ram Institute of Engineering Technology is home to more than 10 departments specialising in engineering education.

The University is seeking to employee a First Nations Lecturer in Pharmacy ( Level B ) to teach into our pharmacy degrees and potentially coordinating a unit of study in pharmacy.

The incumbent will be responsible for leading the First Nations Health stream within the BPharm and MPharm degrees and work with all unit of study coordinators to co-design First Nations content for units, and assessment of pharmacy students in Cultural Safety.

They would represent the school on the FMH First Nations curriculum team and contribute to the evaluation of the First Nations Health content across the degree programs using sound pedological research approaches.

Your key responsibilities will be to:


	Conduct original research independently or as part of a team, focusing on publication, conference presentations, and securing research funding
	undertake independent teaching and apply research or scholarly activity to enhance educational practices and outcomes

About you


	PhD in an academic field relevant to the discipline is preferred or currently undertaking a PHD by research or with lived experience
	be able to show case a research program to undertake over the next 3-5 years related to Frist Nations Health/Education
	experience in teaching and learning in a tertiary environment, as evidenced by coordination of units and supervision of students in practicals, on placements and/or in discipline-related teaching
	relevant experience and expertise in Frist Nations Health/Education
	demonstrated success in designing implementing and evaluating teaching and learning initiatives
	a network of relationships with key academic, professional institutions, partners and stakeholders
	experience in supervising or mentoring others and/or coordinating team activities.

Job Description

Researcher II will work in the Plasma Diagnostics and Modeling group. He/she will be primarily responsible for measurements using optical emission spectroscopy, mainly using streak camera and time-correlated photon counting techniques, partly for the development and application of physical models (collision radiation, reaction kinetics) of the studied plasma, and also for assisting in teaching. He/she will participate in the evaluation of measured data in collaboration with other researchers and theoreticians and in the preparation of publications. We expect participation in group projects and the independent submitting of own projects, including in collaboration with industry. Researcher II will participate in the supervising of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral students' final theses.

The Plasma Diagnostics and Modeling Group is engaged in basic and application-oriented research into the physics and chemistry of low-temperature plasma for a?wide range of applications, including in collaboration with industry. The group is active in the application areas of gas conversion, deposition processes, characterization and development of advanced products for the electrical engineering industry, plasma drives, and ozone generation.

Key Duties:


	Planning of research, experimental design, and measurement of electrical and optical quantities aimed at understanding the processes occurring in the studied low-temperature plasma
	Operation of high-voltage sources for plasma generation
