Part of a network of six CV Raman institutions, C.V Raman Global University was founded in 1997. It was awarded university status in February 2020. 
It was Initially focussed on engineering and management. However, today the university has faculties of engineering and technology, physical and mathematical sciences, humanities and social sciences, tourism and hospitality, medical science, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy and agricultural science.
The college offers four year undergraduate btech degree programmes and two year postgraduate degree mtech programmes.
It is based in Bhubenashwar, the capital of the East Indian state of Odisha. Facilities on campus include six student hostels with a total capacity of 2,500 students. Other facilities include dining facilities, volleyball pitch and basketball courts. 
There are a range of sustainability initiatives on campus including energy conservation, renewable energy and water harvesting among others.

The role?

The University of Southampton seeks to appoint a full-time, permanent Lecturer (A) in Archaeology specialising in Palaeolithic Archaeology and/or Palaeoanthropology.?The successful candidate will enhance the reputation of Southampton’s Department of Archaeology regarding the archaeology and/or anthropology of human origins and evolution, and will contribute to the research culture of the department and the Centre for the Archaeology of Human Origins. They?will teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level, and will undertake leadership, management and engagement activities.

About you

You will have:


	a PhD?or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Archaeology or a related discipline;
	detailed understanding and knowledge of?Palaeolithic Archaeology and/or Palaeoanthropology;
	a?research agenda that addresses wider questions of disciplinary significance, and a developing track record of peer-reviewed published research;
	experience of teaching at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.


While not essential, the following criteria are desirable:


	a teaching qualification (e.g. Fellowship of the UK Higher Education Academy (HEA) or equivalent);
	experience of archaeological fieldwork;
	experience of contributing to grant applications.

Job Description:

SIT is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual for the position of?Assistant/Associate Professor. This position emphasizes excellence in teaching and applied research. As a faculty member, you will play a crucial role in shaping the education and research endeavors of our institution.

Teaching Responsibilities:


	Delivering high-quality lectures and interactive classes in topics related to robotics, robot operating system (ROS), system engineering, computational mathematics, C/C++ programming, data structure and algorithm, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning at the undergraduate level.
	Developing engaging course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes, assignments, and assessments, in accordance with established curriculum guidelines.
	Employing innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance student learning experiences.
	Mentoring and advising students on academic and career-related matters.
	Evaluating and providing constructive feedback on student performance, including assessments and projects.

Qualifications:


	A Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as Robotics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
	Strong experience in mechatronic system design, robotic perception, autonomous system, human-robot interaction and integration of sensors/ actuators with robotic system.?
	Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++ and Python, ROS, AI and machine learning, and their application to robotics.
	Significant experience in applied research, with a focus on practical applications in industry.
	Experience in securing external research funding and managing research projects.
	Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and industry partners.
	The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented academic environment.
	A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in education and research.
