Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture's mission is to educate specialists who are able to modernise construction and architecture in Ukraine.

The university was founded in 1898 as Kyiv Polytechnical Institute; it was renamed as KNUCA in 1999. It has trained more than 80,000 engineers and architects since it was founded, across seven faculties: architecture; construction; automation and IT; engineering systems and ecology; construction and technology; geoinformation systems and territorial management; and urban studies and spatial planning.

Students compete locally, nationally and internationally, in sports including kickboxing, kung fu, taekwondo and chess.
