We are hiring at the level of Assistant Professor with specialization in the following areas:


	Environment and Sustainable Development


Job description: 


	Instructing courses both online and offline.
	Plan, coordinate, and instruct academic programmes in adherence with the best global pedagogical practices.
	Take an active role in outreach and admissions.
	Coordinate and organize field visits for students.
	Flexible to independently conduct practical/practicum and skill-based courses.
	Take active role in coordination and recording of online courses/modules/programme(s).
	Need to take an active role in administrative duties as assigned by the Dean of the school.


The appointee(s) will report to the Dean JSES.

Essential qualification:


	Bachelor’s of Arts/Bachelor’s of Science/Bachelor of Technology/Engineering degree with at least 55% (or equivalent) marks/grade points.
	Master’s of Arts/Master’s of Science/ Technology/Engineering degree in domains relevant to ‘Environment and Sustainable Development’ with first class (60% or equivalent) marks/grade points.
	Doctoral degree from any Institute of National Importance or institutions that are listed in the top 500 as per QS or THE global ranking.
	Industry/organization working experience in the any and/or multiple of the following field(s) - Environmental management systems (ISO- 14001:2015), Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) domain, Environmental, social, and governance (ESG), Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Carbon emissions (Scope I, II, III), Carbon credit assessment & management, and green finance.
	Post-doctoral experience in research topic(s) related to domains mentioned above, from international institutions ranked within 500 in the QS/THE database, is required for candidates without industry/organisation work exposure.


Desired qualification(s):


	Minimum 2 years of experience in academia, industry, or an/organisation after receiving a doctoral degree.
	Recording/coordination experience in developing an online programme is highly desirable.
	Above 5 SCOPUS-indexed publications (as first or corresponding author) in Q1/Q2 journal(s) with at least 200 citations in the SCOPUS database.
	Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team and having a ‘solution-oriented’ mindset.
	National level exam (UGC- NET, CSIR-NET and GATE) qualified candidates will be given preference.

O.P. Jindal Global University

You will be directly involved with the UNIFORM (UNIfying Grid-FOllowing And Grid-foRMing Control In Inverter-based Resources) project, a collaborative programme with four academic and industrial partners that aspire to develop the next generation of inverter control. It is essential to have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications in Electrical/Power Systems, and especially in the areas of power system dynamics, stability and grid-forming control. Proficiency with relevant software, such as MATLAB/Simulink, is essential. Experience with hardware in the loop (HIL) setups and tests is desirable.

This highly collaborative project will involve multiple research visits to academic partners within the UK and abroad up to 30 consecutive days and up to 90 days per annum for joint research and knowledge exchange, as well as travel to conference and other venues for dissemination activities.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We are looking to fill a?Researcher II position (roughly equivalent to a?postdoc) with a?focus on grammaticalization and language change in Latin or Greek. The successful candidate will work within a?research project hosted at Masaryk University and investigated jointly with the Charles University in Prague and the Czech Academy of Sciences (PI Pavel Caha). The specific research topic within the project is grammaticalization (pragmaticalization), language development, and language change. The postdoc will work on this topic in collaboration with Jana Mikulová.

Professional education, qualifications and experience


	Ph.D. in Latin or Greek philology with a?focus on linguistics or related disciplines – required.
	A research worker who obtained their Ph.D. (or an equivalent qualification at ISCED level 8) no more than 7 years ago (from the date of dissertation defense). This period may be extended for maternity or parental leave, long-term illness (more than 90 days), caregiving for a?family member (more than 90 days), pre-certification training, or military service.
	At least one scholarly publication indexed in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science or Scopus databases within the last three years, classified as "article," "book," "book chapter," "letter," or "review" (as of the date of selection). The applicant must be the main author of at least one publication (depending on field specifics, this may be the first author, corresponding author, reprint author, or another explicitly defined role in the article).
	Experience in research outside the Czech Republic with at least a?0.5 full-time equivalent position or a?Ph.D. degree obtained abroad is an advantage. Czech citizens are not excluded.
	Prior work on the research topic and/or experience with research projects is an advantage
	Expertise relevant to the research topic.

About the role

The Department of Physics is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Education who is keen to be part of a successful, friendly, and dynamic collaboration with the Department of Physics and King’s Foundations.

As a foundation year teacher, you will be teaching highly capable and motivated international students on the Kings’ Foundations programme, which is a one year RQF (Regulated Qualification Framework) Level 3 programme for those intending to progress to undergraduate degrees at university.

Your responsibility will be to enable our students to achieve their potential and progress to studying a degree as independent, critical and creative learners.? In addition, you will be given opportunities to contribute to the development and delivery of the Physics & Mathematics modules.

Please note that as some of the students you will teach will be under 18, you may be required to act as a Personal Tutor to these students and as such an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service is a prerequisite for the role.

The successful candidate will be joining the Physics Education Research Group, and will be expected to take a lead role in the teaching delivery of Departmental modules, and to carry out minor administration as requested by the Head of Department. Teaching experience at HE is essential. Experience of innovation in teaching methods would be an advantage.

This is a full time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract for 3 years.

The Division of Engineering at New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a motivated postdoctoral associate to work under the supervision of Prof. Marwa Chafii on physical layer security for integrated sensing and communication.

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any other related field.?

The positions?require experience with at least one of the following areas: Wireless Communications, Communication Theory, Optimization Theory, Signal Processing.
