We are looking for a Senior Research Assistant/ Research Fellow with a background in Health Services Research, with experience in advanced quantitative methodologies. Some experience in qualitative methods is also desired. In our study we are investigating whether it is possible to predict how many nurses are needed on hospital wards from routinely collected data. You will have an interest in healthcare workforce research, with an enthusiasm for researching nurse staffing decisions that maintain quality and safety of patient care. ?Your work will involve a variety of tasks including both individual and team working. The project offers opportunities to apply skills in qualitative data analysis of survey data, complex regression modelling and predictive data analytics. ??

The role?

You will join an interdisciplinary research group whose work has contributed to health workforce policy and guidance in the UK and worldwide. You will work on a 2.5-year study funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research. This collaborative study involves co-Investigators from the University of Southampton, two NHS hospital Trusts, Imperial College London and NHS England.?

Working closely with co-Investigators, you will contribute to analysis tasks across the project. You will also be expected to contribute to tasks such as project management, data acquisition, database creation, workshop planning and preparation of publications, according to your previous experience and seniority.?

The post is funded until October 2027 with a fixed-term contract initially, but we will work with you to identify opportunities for ongoing funding. The post is available full-time, but part-time or job-share will be considered. Flexible working requests will be considered but this role is not suited to working wholly remotely.?

About you??

You will hold a PhD in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience. Candidates who are working towards a PhD will be considered for appointment as a Senior Research Assistant. Experience in undertaking research in health services or settings, including data collection and analysis, is essential. You should also be willing to learn more advanced analytical techniques and display a demonstrable interest in health workforce research. ?

The appointee will join the Faculty of Business (https://www.ln.edu.hk/fb/) and will be expected to conduct research projects and publish outputs with high impact, teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and participate in academic and professional activities. In particular, the appointee is expected to apply for external competitive grants and commit to teaching excellence and active services to the Faculty and the University. Candidates are required to provide evidence of their research records and quality teaching. A proven record in academic leadership and institutional service would be a distinct advantage.

General Requirements

Candidates should have (i) a PhD degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline; (ii) a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals in Information Systems and relevant areas; (iii) a good track record in competitive grant applications; and (iv) relevant teaching experience.

For appointment of?Associate Professor, candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in research and teaching, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals and a soundtrack record in teaching and competitive grant applications in relevant areas. Top-tier journal publications and successful GRF applications would be a distinct advantage. For appointment of?Assistant Professor, candidates should have a good research record and demonstrate strong potential in publishing high-quality papers. Relevant work experience is not required but would be a plus.

Lingnan University pursues excellence in both teaching and research. Appointment

The conditions of appointment will be competitive. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The Jindal School of Art and Architecture (JSAA) at the O.P. Jindal Global University, invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant / Associate Professor (full time).

The JSAA seeks applicants who have their undergraduate coursework in any professionally accredited Gaming/ Immersive Media or related program and registration in India or in their country of residence with a master’s or higher degrees in related fields. We are looking for candidates whose subsequent training has been multi-disciplinary, and one that creatively bridges creativity and application with a focus on Character Design, Gaming, Immersive Media, Smart Environments. Ideally, the candidate should have 3-5 years of experience working in the Gaming, Immersive Media.

Candidates should have expertise and research interests in Character Design, Smart Environments, IoT , AR / VR / MR and use of industry standard software such as Unity, Blender, Unreal or comparable software. The candidate should also be familiar and comfortable with various software used for Character Development, Programming Tools for IoT/Smart Environments. Ideal candidates will bring critical perspectives on the field with attention to environmental and other impacts.

Candidates would be expected to teach undergraduate theory and practical courses while also demonstrating a keen interest in developing coursework and contributing towards evolving the curriculum. Given the inter-disciplinary nature of pedagogical practices at the JSAA candidates will be expected to teach students from across various majors, and thus, develop coursework in a manner that highlights both the collaborative and inter-disciplinary nature of any practice. Further, candidates will be expected actively pursue research, critical practices and undertake institutional development.

Required Qualifications


	Master’s degree in Game Design, AR/VR/MR/XR or any allied field.
	Professional in the above-mentioned areas (minimum 2 to 4 years Assistant Professor / 5 to 7 years Associate Professor

	An established or emerging trajectory for creative and/or scholarly work.

O.P. Jindal Global University

You will be directly involved with the UNIFORM (UNIfying Grid-FOllowing And Grid-foRMing Control In Inverter-based Resources) project, a collaborative programme with four academic and industrial partners that aspire to develop the next generation of inverter control. It is essential to have a PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications in Electrical/Power Systems, and especially in the areas of power system dynamics, stability and grid-forming control. Proficiency with relevant software, such as MATLAB/Simulink, is essential. Experience with hardware in the loop (HIL) setups and tests is desirable.

This highly collaborative project will involve multiple research visits to academic partners within the UK and abroad up to 30 consecutive days and up to 90 days per annum for joint research and knowledge exchange, as well as travel to conference and other venues for dissemination activities.
