Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) and Vice-President, the Director Regional Development is a senior academic (Professor or Associate Professor level) role and will support the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) and its strategic goals by providing leadership for a variety of regional programs including ECU Learning Centre in Busselton, Regional Learning Hubs and providing guidance and support for the operations of SW Campus.

The position will assist ECU schools and academic disciplines to progress their regional operations and presence in line with industry demand, as well as playing a key role in identifying and co-developing new ventures and research and development opportunities, new courses, tertiary education pathways ?in the regional context, in close collaboration with, and supporting the ECU’s schools and academic disciplines.

As the newly appointed Director Regional Development the successful appointee will be a proven leader, with a strong academic track record and the ability to foster existing and new relationships with a wide range of people and organisations across a wide range of stakeholders. Working within a regional context, you will:


	Lead, develop and motivate support staff and effectively engage with academic and professional staff across the University;
	Work closely with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures) to identify, pursue and capitalise on funding opportunities for regional areas;
	Provide executive briefings;
	Engage with key partners and maximise community engagement;
	Provide regional leadership by supporting ECU schools and academic entities in support of their regional priorities;
	Contribute at a senior level to designing, leading, monitoring, and reporting on the operationalisation of large-scale projects and programs that underpin the Regional Plan 2022-2026 and future strategic directions related to regional development that sustains wider State economic growth and diversification.


This role requires strong business acumen with the ability to develop and manage relationships with regional stakeholders and represent ECU's interests while demonstrating the University's values and will be required at times to deputise for the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Regional Futures).

About You

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced academic who has:


	An Associate Professor or Professor appointment in a higher education institution. ?
	Strong leadership capabilities to effectively engage, collaborate, negotiate across a range of stakeholders including team members and staff within ECU.
	An ability to foster external relationships and communications with other universities, as well as with tertiary education entities such as TAFE, distributed learning and innovation networks and other stakeholders.
	Knowledge of the issues faced by rural and remote/regional environments with demonstrated experience in leading innovation and quality improvement in learning and teaching and research.
	Sound knowledge of the Australian higher education sector.
	Capacity to develop and operationalise institutional and ECU school’s academic governance requirements.
	The ability to manage multiple projects and activities with competing deadlines.

This ongoing position attracts remuneration of $172,116 - $189,23 at Level D and –$220,621pa at Level E plus plus 17% University superannuation contribution (and relocation costs). ?

Reporting to the Head of Sport and Physical Wellbeing, the postholder will lead and implement an effective business development strategy to enhance Queen's Sport's position within the sector as a service provider. The aim is to ensure agreed engagement and revenue targets are achieved to meet business objectives while maintaining the highest quality of customer services and relationship management across Queen's Sport.

The postholder will play an integral role in supporting the strategic development of Student and Campus Experience with a central focus on Queen's Sport. This role spans two Directorates: Student and Corporate Services (SCS), and Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy (AEP). It is an outward-facing and relationship development role with responsibility for establishing and developing strategic relationships and partnerships with sponsors, funders, commercial partners, sporting governing bodies, and non-governmental bodies.

They will be responsible for overseeing business change projects and development of business cases, systems and processes in the achievement of the Queen's Sport business plan and for the co-ordination and delivery of marketing communications, customer services, student, staff and community led functions within Sport.

Additionally, the postholder will be responsible for developing, leading, and delivering a programme of engagement with alumni in support of Queen's Sport and Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy (AEP).

About the person:

The ideal candidate will be a strategic and experienced professional with a strong background in Business Development or a comparable environment. They will bring a proven track record of leading and motivating teams to deliver high-quality, customer-focused services aligned with institutional goals. They will demonstrate a commitment to engagement activities, service excellence and continuous improvement.

The post-holder will have:


	A primary degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
	Significant relevant experience in business development or stakeholder role that will demonstrate:
	
		A track record in a senior management position leading and delivering successful achievement of revenue targets including new business development.
		Evidence of successfully managing contracts/accounts /third party partnerships of substantial value, in excess of ?400k with good stewardship.
		Experience of working with or securing commercial revenue and funding within Sport.
		Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team and motivating people.
		Leading the development of change and review to working practices and procedures that result in business process improvements.
		Management of forecasting and controlling multi-million-pound budgets and resources and a good understanding of financial management procedures.
		Experience of working under legislative regulations and the implications of non-compliance. Project management experience associated with the development, delivery, reporting and monitoring systems for stakeholder engagement programmes.
	
	
	Experience of developing innovative solutions and contributing to department objective planning.

About the Role

As a Procurement Administrative Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting a wide range of finance and procurement processes. From processing staff and student expense claims to raising purchase orders and preparing financial records, your work will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the faculty’s finance operations. The role is fixed term for 12 months and can be offered as an internal secondment.?

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team and will work closely with colleagues across the faculty and university to ensure accurate record keeping, prompt payments, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities


	Process staff and student expense claims with a high level of accuracy
	Raise purchase orders and check/process invoices using the University’s procurement systems
	Support record-keeping and maintain key finance spreadsheets

About the Role

We have a very exciting opportunity in the Upper Spencer Gulf for a Social Work Industry Facilitator to join the College of Education, Psychology and Social Work at Flinders University. This position, which will support the National Mental Health Pathways to Practice Pilot, will require the successful candidate to oversee and supervise the facilitation of student placements across the mental health sector.

As well as providing innovative and inspiring teaching to Social Work students, the Social Work Industry Facilitator will explore new partnerships to help build capacity for the increasing number of placements required by the University and the sector more broadly.

Some of the responsibilities of this position will include:


	Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, including the MHPPP team, Course Coordinators, WIL team and across-disciplines to identify, develop and enact placement relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
	Working collaboratively with agencies and service providers in South Australia and the Northern Territory to identify challenges and design creative yet robust solutions for placement opportunities and workforce development.
	Contributing to the planning, evaluation and student placement assessment of these topics, undertaking the role of Topic Coordinator as required.


About You?

To be successful, you will have completed a PhD and/or have qualifications and equivalent professional experience in an area relevant to Social Work. The successful candidate will also hold, or be eligible for, membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, with a minimum of five years (FTE) of post-qualifying experience in the mental health sector.

	Experience of significant teaching and learning experience and excellence at a tertiary level, including curriculum design and field education.
