We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic Business & Systems Analysis Team within the IT Portfolio. This role will be part of our BA resource pool, working on a range of strategic projects. Current projects include CRM, ServiceNow, Windows 10 upgrades, and the Student App.

Joining the team as a Senior Business Analyst, you'll be ensuring key business goals are understood and requirements are documented. To do this, you'll be working with colleagues to ensure that quality business solutions, that address the requirements of the business are delivered. We'll look to you to participate, lead, and contribute to relevant business and project meetings, and to provide support and training to the technical and business teams for the new systems and processes.??

About you:?


	Proven experience as a Business Analyst working across multiple complex projects/workstreams?
	Strong decision-making skills with the ability to confidently analyse and resolve complex problems.?
	An excellent understanding of creating and writing functional and technical specifications for systems.?
	Excellent analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills.?
	Comfortable with holding and facilitating?interviews, meetings and workshops to a diverse range of Stakeholders

About us:

The Precision Health Informatics Data Lab, led by Professor Richard Dobson, is motivated towards enabling a “panoramic” view of patients that is precise, predictive, preventative and participatory, through the integration of traditional ‘omics data with data derived from mHealth, electronic patient records, knowledge graphs. The group works closely alongside the National Institute for Health Research Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR Maudsley BRC) supporting their translational research into novel tests, treatments and technologies to understand and treat mental disorders.

About the role:

Our RADAR-Base platform is pioneering the future for mHealth technology in remote monitoring and management of health data. The RADAR-base platform is used in numerous research fields, spanning over 20 disorder areas in 54 studies. The Software Engineer will be responsible for implementing and optimising infrastructure and deployment processes, and will also contribute to the development of key software components. This position offers a significant opportunity to contribute to a globally adopted, low-cost, open-source mobile health platform.

This is a full time post, and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/07/2027.

About you:

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

Essential criteria


	MSc qualified in relevant subject area or equivalent experience
	Extensive experience in software development and DevOps practices (2+ years).
	Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and technologies (e.g., Terraform).
	Proficiency in Java/Kotlin, mobile app development and backend development
	Experience working with Apache Kafka, KSQL streams, and reactive backend systems.
	Proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
	Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
	Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
	Experience with configuration management and automation.


Desirable criteria


	Familiarity with open-source software development practices.
	Understanding of data analysis and processing pipelines.

The School of Healthcare Enterprise and Innovation (SHEI) is welcoming applications for someone to manage the new the School of Healthcare Enterprise & Innovation Design Suite, which will provide year-round support for the new MSc programme in Medical Technology Innovation and Design (MTID). We are looking for a highly motivated individual who will support our students in creating cutting-edge medical technology prototypes. This will involve ensuring the safe and effective running of the design suite and providing high-quality technical support for prototyping, using a range of tools for things such as 3D printing and basic electronics. There will also be the opportunity to contribute to teaching and academic publications, and the successful post-holder will be supported in Continuous Professional Development activity.

SHEI is a community of researchers, healthcare professionals and educators who champion the development of healthcare innovations that generate social change and economic benefits. The MTID programme is an ambitious and unique postgraduate programme for the UK; project-based, it brings together students from various disciplinary backgrounds to design new medical technologies, which address significant clinical problems in both UK and global healthcare contexts.?

We are looking for candidates with experience or aptitude in managing facilities, budgets, and health and safety. Candidates should be able to demonstrate technical skills in 3D printing (including CAD), electronics (to at least a basic level), and laser cutting.
